menuDrop is a macOS menu bar app for Raindrop.io. Your bookmarks live in your menu bar — browse, open, and save without ever leaving what you’re doing.

Setup #
- Open the app — it appears as a drop icon in your menu bar
- Click it and choose Settings…
- Paste your Raindrop API token and click Load
- Pin your favourite collections and tags, then click Save
Get your token at app.raindrop.io/settings/integrations → For Developers → Create test token.
The menu #
Quick actions #

| 📋 Add Clipboard URL | Saves the URL on your clipboard to Raindrop — fetches the page title automatically |
| 🕐 Recent | Shows your 10 most recently added bookmarks |
| 🌐 Open Raindrop Web | Opens app.raindrop.io in your browser |
Sections #
| Section | Description |

| ❤️ Favourites | Your favourite bookmarks, pre-loaded on launch for speed |
| 📌 Pinned | Collections and tags you’ve pinned in Settings, pre-loaded on launch for speed |
| 📁 Collections | All other collections, in a submenu |
| 🏷 Tags | Top 25 tags by count, in a submenu |
Submenus load lazily — bookmarks are only fetched when you hover over a collection or tag.
Bookmark actions #
Click any bookmark to open a submenu with these options:

| ↗ Open | Opens the bookmark in your browser |
| ⎘ Copy URL | Copies the URL to clipboard |
| [ ] Copy as Markdown | Copies as [title](url) |
| ✎ Edit in Raindrop | Opens the bookmark editor in Raindrop web |
| ♡ Add to Favourites / ♥ Remove from Favourites | Toggles the bookmark’s favourite status |
Keyboard shortcut #
The default shortcut to open the menu is ⌥⌘R.
To change it: Settings… → Shortcuts → click the field and press any modifier+key combination.
Settings #
Open via the menu or ⌘, when the settings window is focused.
- General — Set your API token, pin collections and tags
- Shortcuts — Customise the global keyboard shortcut
The menu refreshes automatically every 5 minutes, or you can trigger a manual refresh from the bottom of the menu.
