Committing Draft Posts to GitHub

·1 min

I’ve gotten into the habit of using the “draft: true” label on my blog posts and committing them as drafts as I work on them. I have to be diligent about committing /pushing to GitHub every now and then, but it’s neat to know I can then just pull my repo to whatever device I’m on and I’ve got all my drafts, without worrying about syncing service weirdness.

And in a pinch, I could even edit and publish my post directly on GitHub’s (decent-ish) text editor, mark it as not a draft, and it will publish!
