Yondr Pouches

My wife and I were very fortunate to get tickets to see Jerrod Carmichael this week at a comedy club that is maybe a 30 minute walk from our house. It was very good and really cool to see such a big name in such a small venue.

It was also the first time I went to a show where I had to put my phone into a little pouch (a “Yondr” pouch) that I carried with me but was locked up until it was time to leave.

You know what - I loved it! There’s something so freeing about not instinctively reaching for my phone every couple minutes. And looking around before the show started and seeing people just… talking to each other.

And it’s also nice knowing if I do something embarrassing I won’t just randomly be filmed. I dunno I feel like there’s something to this. Like could restaurants offer phone lock pouches as a perk? Dine out and be anonymous. Maybe something to explore.
